Taranae Hashemi has extensive experience handling all stages of complex civil and high-exposure litigation. Taranae has defended and resolved a number of high-exposure catastrophic loss and wrongful death cases. Her practice consists largely of insurance defense, focusing on construction, Labor Law, premises liability, and professional liability.
Taranae represents individuals, corporations, limited liability and insurance companies, agents and third-party administrators in complex business disputes. She litigates insurance defense matters and professional liability claims. Taranae is a public speaker who has lectured and given Continuing Legal Education (CLE) presentations on subjects including women in litigation, trucking and transportation, product liability, and construction claims across the country. In addition to lecturing, Taranae is actively engaged in community service and pro bono work and has raised over $1,000,000 to benefit the MS Society.
A native of Randolph, New Jersey, Taranae earned her undergraduate degree from The College of New Jersey in 2007. She next attended law school at Rutgers School of Law, earning her Juris Doctorate in 2011. While at Rutgers, Taranae participated in the Civil Immigration Practice Law Clinic where she defended low-income individuals involved in immigration proceedings and was recognized for her superior legal writing skills. Following law school, Taranae served as law clerk to the Honorable Francis J. Orlando, A.J.S.C. and Justice Lee A. Solomon, J.S.C. of the New Jersey Judiciary.
