Meet Crystal

Crystal has over 20 years of experience handling reinsurance disputes in private arbitrations and litigation, addressing both treaty and facultative contracts.  She has represented both ceding insurers and assuming reinsurers in disputes concerning the scope of coverage provided by the reinsurance contract at issue, including applicability of follow the fortunes/settlements, and treaty coverage for long tail, XPL and ECO exposures. Crystal also provides coverage opinions to firm clients on reinsurance issues that are perceived to have the potential to result in formal disputes.

In addition, Crystal has experience with direct insurance matters, including preparing coverage opinions on a variety of issues such as occurrence and number of occurrences issues, applicability of policy exclusions, late notice and coverage for additional insureds.

From 2000-2001 Crystal served as court attorney to the Honorable Pamela R. Harwood in the Third Circuit Court of the State of Michigan.

Crystal lives in the Catskills with her husband.
