Alexandra concentrates her practice on complex cases involving commercial law, employment and labor litigation, insurance defense, and contract disputes. She has trial and litigation experience in both federal and state courts, and engages in all aspects of litigation, including trial preparation, jury selection, arguing motions, and conducting investigations. Alexandra also has significant experience defending employers against claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, as well as wage and hour violations, and contract disputes.

Prior to joining GVK, Alexandra focused her practice on employment discrimination, business and entertainment matters, civil rights, police brutality, and personal injury cases. She served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Jay Blitzman in Massachusetts, working on complex criminal matters and child welfare cases. Alexandra also worked as a Law Clerk for large corporate firms in Honolulu, Boston, and New York City, and had the privilege of working as a Student Attorney under the Honorable Margaret Burnham with the Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Clinic. Additionally, she was a Student Attorney with the Northeastern Intellectual Property Clinic and served as a Senior Editor for the Northeastern Law Review.

Notably, Alexandra was selected for the Marcus Graham Project, where she gained a unique perspective of the sports and entertainment industries through a labor and employment lens, implementing marketing strategies that broadened the fan base for the Brooklyn Nets, BSE Global, Fanatics, Inc., Hennessy, and TBWA Worldwide.

Medea specializes in commercial insurance defense and coverage litigation, with a focus on trucking and transportation disputes. She has experience in defending corporate entities including technology and rideshare companies, and insurance carriers in state and federal courts. Prior to joining Gallo Vitucci Klar LLP Medea practiced at New York law firms, where she was handling insurance defense and insurance coverage litigation matters in courts and ADR entities. Medea is an author, co-author and editor of more than 15 publications (manuals, textbooks, articles for legal professionals).

Outside of the office Medea enjoys traveling and reading.

Marisa Polito concentrates her practice on all phases of litigation, with a focus on premises liability, transportation, and general negligence. She represents clients from both publicly and privately owned businesses, as well as large public authorities.

Before joining Gallo Vitucci Klar LLP, Marisa worked as an Assistant District Attorney and later represented New York City Authorities in various litigation matters, including criminal law and insurance defense.

Outside of work, Marisa enjoys spending time outdoors with her German Shepherd puppy and family.

Deena concentrates her practice in no-fault matters. She has a history of working in insurance defense and is able to manage and maintain a large, fast-paced caseload, while still providing the utmost attention to detail and care to each and every case handled for her clients. Deena has successfully written and argued Briefs on various matters before the Appellate Term. She was published in the New York Law Journal for her Brief written and argued before the Term on the standards and burdens required for the striking of affirmative defenses.

In addition to her litigation work, Deena also handles first party coverage matters, including claims involving mysterious losses, burglaries, and robberies. A majority of her work focuses on insurance fraud investigations.

When not working, Deena enjoys traveling and videography.

Debora concentrates her practice on defending transportation claims, premises liability claims, and other general liability claims, including wrongful death claims. Debora, with over thirty years’ experience, has also represented plaintiffs in personal injury claims.

Debora is admitted in New York State and in the Southern District of New York. Before joining the firm, Debora successfully defended corporate and individual clients as in-house and panel counsel to multiple insurance carriers, as well as self-insured clients.

Debora was described by a juror in one of her trials as the “fist in the velvet glove”. Debora is tenacious and dogged in her pursuit of successful and cost-effective resolutions for her clients.

When not in the office, Debora enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially outdoors.

Michael concentrates his practice on construction defect and general liability matters. Michael has a multitude of legal experience spanning from defending vehicle manufacturers in breach of warranty actions to defending builders from construction defect claims. Prior to joining the firm, Michael was living and practicing in south Florida. Michael has represented large vehicle manufacturers, property insurance carriers, automobile drivers, landlords, contractors, and others accused of negligence or breach of contract.

Outside of the office, Michael enjoys hiking, biking, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Mary Bolen concentrates her practice in the areas of premises liability, automobile liability, and general negligence. Mary provides her clients with a vigorous defense both in the courtroom and through alternative dispute resolution methods. Mary has represented casinos, commercial landlords, and Fortune 500 companies in a variety of negligence matters.

When not in the office, Mary spends her time with her husband in their garden, reading, or spoiling her rescue cat.

Gail McNally concentrates her practice in Insurance Coverage and Litigation, Construction Accident, and Product Liability Defense. She has been litigating personal injury torts in the New York Metro area for 30 years. She has tried numerous cases to verdict, written and argued appeals in the First, Second, and Fourth Departments. Presently, she handles complex, high-exposure litigation, mainly from construction site accidents. She has litigated cases involving automobile accidents, product liability, general liability, Dram Shop liability, as well as insurance coverage cases (bad faith, etc.). She litigates in both New York State Courts and the U.S. Eastern and Southern Districts. Gail prides herself on timeliness and professionalism and is known for being tenacious and well-prepared.

Gail is an adjunct professor at Touro Law School, teaching classes on litigating tort matters in New York. She is also involved with the Wounded Warriors organization, actively participating in fundraisers and events.

Gail enjoys biking and physical fitness. She loves to cook and spend time with her family and loved ones.

Karen Vega concentrates her practice in trucking and transportation. Karen has experience in representing clients through all phases of litigation, from case initiation through resolution, in both New York and New Jersey. Prior to joining the firm, Karen was an associate at a defense firm specializing in trucking accidents, premises liability and general litigation matters. Karen gained experience as a legal services attorney in New Jersey, where she represented clients in administrative hearings involving unemployment and supplemental security income. Additionally, Karen served as a law clerk for the Honorable Mary K. Costello in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Civil Division.

David Slaney specializes in the defense of No-Fault/PIP claims. David has experience in the insurance industry both as a claims examiner and in-house counsel, where he has assisted carriers in matters involving bodily injury, no-fault, underinsured/uninsured motorist claims and coverage issues. He has represented carriers in trials, arbitrations and conducted examinations under oath to assist in fraud investigation.

Outside of the office, David enjoys the outdoors, golfing, reading and spending time with his son and wife.
