The Firm’s experience includes a broad range of maritime claims such as vessel damage and cargo (COGSA) claims, marine insurance, charter party disputes and demurrage claims, bodily injury (DOHSA, LHWCA and Jones Act claims), maritime arbitration matters before the SMA and abroad, maritime pollution claims including point source pollution, maritime lien cases involving the arrests of vessels and assets, ship mortgage bankruptcy and restructuring issues, and limitation of liability claims (Rule E).  John T. Maher, of counsel to the Firm,  is the primary author of the practice handbook, Maritime Litigation (Butterworth/Reed Elsevier) and Mr. Maher has written several articles for Lloyd’s Maritime Law Reporter and has worked extensively on transnational maritime disputes involving multi-forum litigation and arbitration matters.
